Alex Lofoco

Alex Lofoco is a well-known freelance musician and teacher, currently based in London, UK. Born in Rome, he began his musical training at a young age by studying the piano. At seventeen, encouraged by a group of friends who love the Rock-Heavy metal musical genre, he begins to break out of the classic patterns towards which he had been directed up to that moment by his studies. Bewitched by the biting rhythm of Steve Harris, bassist of Iron Maiden, he begins to take an interest in the instrument with large strings, fascinated by its sound and its rhythmic characteristics. The enterprising character of him, open to any type of project, urges him to play with numerous Roman bands, refining his style more and more and highlighting his technical skills. In 2008, the Roman music scene began to be too limited, so it was in that year that he decided to move to London. He attends a degree course at the London College of Music and in 2012 he graduated with honors in Popular Music Performance - BMus (Hons). The London mentality and the experiences gained playing in various groups in London make him more and more an artist at all levels, and it is during his years in college that a new professional path begins for him. His masterclasses on advanced electric bass techniques attract the attention of other world-renowned colleges, such as the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, the ICMP Universities and the Tech Music School in London, who do not hesitate to consecrate him as a rising star of the London music scene. . Magazines such as 'Guitars', 'Bass Musician Magazine' and 'Jazzitalia' write articles about him and his professional career. He performs at international fairs and music shows such as NAMM, the Frankfurt Musikmesse, Euro Bass Day and the London Bass Guitar Show, representing the world's leading musical instrument manufacturers.
