In breve

The name “La Maschera” is a tribute to Pirandello works and to Eduardo De Filippo, symbol and bastion of the often underestimated Neapolitan culture. Before recording the “Pullecenella” video, Colella had in his pocket a ticket for Prague for Erasmus. The success of the clip has changed his plans.

The Songwriting project is fruit of the encounter between him and Vincenzo Capasso.

Roberto Colella: “With ‘La Maschera’ we sing together the happiness and the melancholy of Naples”
Leader and singer of the band “La Maschera”: five young people, conservatives and reactionaries, with an outstretched hand to the tradition and to the “ear” towards innovation.
Their first record work was a challenge: the band, born from the chance encounter between Colella and Capabasso, sons of the North East periphery of the Neapolitan area, they relied on an independent record label, the Full Heads, and entered with strength the indie music world and that of the songwriting.
Eliana del Peschio (bass), Marco Salvatore (drums), Alessandro Morlando (lead guitar), Vincenzo Campobasso (trumpet), and Roberto Colella (voice, guitar, keyboards, flutes, sax and chalumeau) together create the perfect alchemy between music and poetry.
Roberto Colella said: “Music is the glue, the alley and not the place – an imaginary paradise”. He is a singer and songwriter of the 3.0 Neapolitan culture who was born in alleys.
