Short bio

He is a professional guitarist, and has to his credit different collaborations with many Italian artists.


Thanks to the Modern Music Academy Orchestra of Modena in 2007 he had the opportunity to play with Max Gazzè, and in 2008 with Francesco Baccini.


He shares the stage with Cesareo (Guitarist of Elio e le Storie Tese) and with the Elio tribute band (“Uomini col Borsello”) that he has joined in 2006.

Giulio Vampa is a professional guitarist (he was born in 1980), he started his music studies in 1995 thanks to local teachers like Giovanni Maroncelli and Marco Di Meo, and during his career path made of research and learning he started to have his first LIVE experiences that incessantly accompany him in his career up to the present.

Between the 2003 and the 2005 he took part at different Master Classes and lessons, held by musician and teachers such as Ed Saindon (Berklee College Of Music in Boston), Bruce Bartlett (Berklee College of Music), Massimo Varini and Giacomo Castellano.

In both 1998 and 2003 he came, respectively, first and second at Guitar Connection Contest.

In 2002 he joined the Progressive rock band Odessa with which, apart from the realization of an album (The Final Day, 2009) he took part in different progressive rock International festivals such as Prog’Sud (Marseilles-France), Prog Farm (Bakkaveen- Netherlands), Baja Prog (Mexicali-Mexico), JakArt (Jakarta-Indonesia).
In addition to the participation in various festivals with the band Odessa, he performed in different places including the Moods in Montecarlo and gained great experiences, among all there is the performance with Ian Paice (drummer of the Deep Purple) in 2010.

At the same time, besides the band Odessa, Giulio Vampa joined different formation with whom was able to deepen different musical genres and styles : thanks to the Modern Music Academy orchestra of Modena he had the opportunity to play with Max Gazzè in 2007 and with Francesco Baccini in 2008. In 2011 he shared the stage with Cesareo ( Guitarist of “Elio e le Storie Tese”) and with Elio tribute band ( “Uomini col Borsello”), which he has joined in 2006. He dedicates himself with passion to the live music, performing in several contests from Rock/Hard Rock Music to the Blues, from Funky to Jazz, from Reggae to Italian and International songwriting, from acoustic to electric guitar.
